Affordable Gifts for Your Musician Husband/Boyfriend

The holidays are approaching and you may be thinking “what am I supposed to get my man”. Most gift lists will say to get your man a keychain, pocketknife, something sports related, a wallet, socks… do I need to continue? The point is, sometimes those can be nice gifts, but sometimes you need something more personal. Something that screams “I saw this and thought of you”. Usually this means gifting them something hobby related, but what if they’re a musician? This is the problem I ran into when my husband and I started dating. I was a college student! I couldn’t afford a guitar or a keyboard! I wracked my brain for gift ideas every time a holiday would come up. If this sounds like you, keep reading!
Stocking Stuffers/Small Gifts
Custom guitar picks- This is a great idea for a stocking stuffer or for a simple “just because” gift. Add photos of the two of you, just yourself, something your significant other loves, pictures of your kids, or anything else that makes them think of you while they’re jamming out!
Custom metal guitar pick necklace- This is similar to the previous suggestion, but this one is an accessory they can wear. This is also a fun idea if you want to get two and have matching necklaces!
Personalized wooden pick holder- This is another great stocking stuffer idea! You can have their name engraved into the holder and fill it with the customized guitar picks, jewelry, or anything else. Your imagination is the limit!
Amp key holder- I just think this is the cutest thing. I know I critiqued keychains as a gift, but I feel like this is different because it’s not the typical keychain and it’s such a creative idea!
Guitar string ring- If you are looking for a wedding band or if you just want to get your man a ring, this is a great subtle piece of jewelry to showcase his hobby!
Larger Gifts
Vintage Fender T-Shirt- Starting off on the more traditional gift side, you can never go wrong with a t-shirt and this one is super tasteful and stylish!
Double guitar wall mount- This double guitar wall mount was a last minute purchase I made as a birthday gift for my husband one year. I was so nervous he wasn’t going to like it but 3 years later he still says it is one of his favorite gifts I have given him. It holds two guitar, has slots along the top for guitar picks, a shelf for capos or whatever else you want to store on it, and a hook for guitar straps. It’s such a handy thing to have and makes for a much more organized music space!
Single guitar wall mount- This is the same as the one above except it only has one guitar hook.
Custom recording sign- This is another gift I got for my husband that he says is one of his favorites!
Guitar decanter- This one is a little more on the pricy side, but it is so cool! If your man is anything like mine, he will absolutely love this gift! I have never gotten a disappointed reaction from gifting a decanter to someone and this one is a perfect way to include some music in your home!
